ANSWER:

CONVERSION INFORMATION
128 ounces = 1 gallon
1 ounce = 0.0296 liters
16 ounces = 1 pint
1 gallon = 3.789 liters
1 gallon = 3.789 liters
Calculation:
# Gallons x 128(ozs) / Ratio =
Ounces of Oil to mix with Gas
Examples:
6 (gallons) x 128 (ozs) / 50 (50:1 ratio) =
15.36 ozs of oil for 6 gallons of gas
6 (gallons) x 8 (pints) / 50 (50:1 ratio) =
0.96 pints of oil for 6 gallons of gas

For 2-Stroke outboards that require a 50:1 premix of oil/gas we've put together the following chart to simplify the calculations.

Use ONLY 2-stroke outboard motor oil with an NMMA (National Marine Manufacturer's Assoc.) certified rating of TCW3.
Never use automobile motor oil in your 2-stroke outboard!

TLDI outboards should only be run using TCW3 oil specifically formulated for use in Direct Injection motors. Standard TCW3 oil is not recommended for use in TLDI outboards. The following oils have been tested by our factory and certified for use in TLDI motors:

  • Tohatsu Complete Advantage 100% Synthetic Oil
  • Tohatsu Premium TCW3 Semi-Synthetic Oil

The above oil brands are currently the only brands that have been tested and approved by our factory for use in TLDI systems. Brand names listed are trademarked by their respective owners.

Unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87 is necessary; however, we recommend using an octane rating of 89, if possible, for best performance.
