Tohatsu America Corp. is proud to reveal their new LPG 5hp four stroke outboard. This new 5hp motor is powered by propane, so sailors are no longer forced to carry gasoline on board.
Our new LPG outboard, which has been requested by our customers for many years, was nominated for an innovation award at the 2017 Miami International Boat Show. This compact, yet impressive outboard will run for a full 5 hours at WOT on a single 11lb propane tank, without sacrificing engine performance.
One thing every boater looks for is a low-maintenance, yet powerful engine, and since the 5hp LPG does not require ethanol or gas, this outboard requires almost zero maintenance on fuel related components.
The 5hp LPG is available in a variety of shaft lengths including short, long and ultra long. Both the long and ultra long options feature our popular Sail Pro model and includes a 12V 60W 5A charging system and high thrust prop.
