In order to determine the model year of your outboard, you will need to provide us with the serial number and the model number of your outboard. We cannot determine the model year of your outboard without this information.

For motors produced prior to 2003, complete the Request Form with the 5 digit serial number to request the model year.
For motors produced in 2003 and beyond, the serial number (6 numbers + 2 letters) will indicate the Production Year* of the motor using the 2 letter code at the end of the serial number. Look up each letter in the table below to determine the production year:

IMPORTANT NOTE: This website can only provide information on motors sold in North America. We do not have information on Tohatsu outboards sold in other countries.
